And... the towel is thrown

(By Jacquee)Hey kids. I've come to the hard realization that I'm not going to make it 26.2 miles. My life has kind of gotten away from me and my training has suffered because of it. There's no way I'll be able to finish the marathon. I haven't decided if that means I'm not going to at least start it, however. I'll still be there to cheer both of you on.To answer you question from a while ago, Clem... "Race" means that you pick a race to run that day. I don't think a length was specified. The philosophy of this is to get some racing experience under your belt before the marathon so you don't outrun yourself at the start in all the excitement. (Run on sentence anyone?) Seeing as you have racing experience, it's probably not essential that you actually race that day.
Hope you two are doing well! Sorry I'm such a slacker loser face. I'll try harder at next year's marathon.
